</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You'll need:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 cups of flour</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/4 tsp baking soda</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 Tbs baking powder</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 tsp salt</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">6 Tbs cold butter</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 cup plus 2 Tbs buttermilk</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">4 Tbs butter, softened</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Stir together all the dry ingredients.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">If you have a food processor it will make things easier on you.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I don't have one, so I use a fork and a pastry cutter (?- not sure that is the real name).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Anyway, add the cold butter to the dry ingredients. I like to cube the butter before adding it, it just makes things a little easier. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim_SobzONzlLok5vcYMHrubqeTb22zcgzIzUEDFsFnxF-ezoyxI2bXGztAaQ6O6wCELKISnW-Z9rXGvW31cVNqoOyW1Z7rGYbqZE4o0Jh73anb5QBb4GgckPDBnOHNDquJZJ-nZZdctbA/s1600/IMG_0979.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim_SobzONzlLok5vcYMHrubqeTb22zcgzIzUEDFsFnxF-ezoyxI2bXGztAaQ6O6wCELKISnW-Z9rXGvW31cVNqoOyW1Z7rGYbqZE4o0Jh73anb5QBb4GgckPDBnOHNDquJZJ-nZZdctbA/s320/IMG_0979.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Next add the buttermilk and stir everything with a fork, just until everything is wet. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You don't want to over mix these, that will make them tougher. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"> Dump the dough onto the flour and sprinkle a little more flour on top. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Just enough so that you can touch it without everything sticking to you.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfitqm88Uhq77IpeWeqPctPbBNu39EHALAvXVyqjhwcbhnkIYz2i1LcvTnfGaO3eXTieaw0-hTktH-KICknShy91ceBMUHbJLB_qX-GapKMLeX0Aki2p89AenPzCy7HJKBaFCpiSAlXXY/s1600/IMG_0983.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfitqm88Uhq77IpeWeqPctPbBNu39EHALAvXVyqjhwcbhnkIYz2i1LcvTnfGaO3eXTieaw0-hTktH-KICknShy91ceBMUHbJLB_qX-GapKMLeX0Aki2p89AenPzCy7HJKBaFCpiSAlXXY/s320/IMG_0983.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Use your hands to pat the dough flat to about 1/2 inch thick.</div><div style="text-align: center;">You could use a rolling pin, but that will make the biscuits a little tougher. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiataHzPELA6zfZCaO26Fv5p_0GWkp4tD1VcjpdLwyNqO57RK1Nq_VQ_x_LN1CTzEDzfql5NsxT62vX43YZDdwwdV8F1k1xtSP1mNu3Ir-3n4mtlon951fDOmjunP4KnZX3KQc7vNkMop8/s1600/IMG_0984.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiataHzPELA6zfZCaO26Fv5p_0GWkp4tD1VcjpdLwyNqO57RK1Nq_VQ_x_LN1CTzEDzfql5NsxT62vX43YZDdwwdV8F1k1xtSP1mNu3Ir-3n4mtlon951fDOmjunP4KnZX3KQc7vNkMop8/s320/IMG_0984.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So, you are probably saying to yourself "I already know how to bake a cake!"</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Well, great!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">However, at some point I learned these tips I am going to share with you.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And most of my friends don't know all of these tips, so I bet most of you will not know at least one of these helpful hints. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So keep reading.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">First of all, I use boxed cake mixes for my cakes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Gasp! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I know, I know. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">But when you can make them taste awesome, why bother with a from scratch cake.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Those can be really dense anyway, and that's not what we want.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(I do make cakes from scratch sometimes, just not when they require a lot of decorating.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So, when baking a cake. First, preheat your oven.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then, go warm your eggs.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Bring them to room temperature. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Either set them out for a while before baking so they can warm on their own, or put them in a cup with warm water for a few minutes and that will take the chill off faster.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Keep them in their shells for all that. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">When mixing the ingredients for the cake FOLLOW the DIRECTIONS. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Seems like common sense, but most people just mix everything for about 30 seconds, until it looks done. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">No.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Don't do that.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Beat all ingredients ( like oil, water, eggs, dry mix, whatever your mix calls for) according to the directions.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Most mixes say something like this:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">"beat on low for 30 seconds, then beat on medium or medium/ high for 2 minutes."</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I always set a timer for 2 minutes and don't stop until the timer goes off.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The cake batter should be smooth and fluffy. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Next COAT your pans with this:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Baker's Joy.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

It cuts down on the loose crumbs a lot. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I like to leave the cakes in the freezer for at least a day.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Once frozen and you are ready to decorate, level your cakes by trimming off the puffy tops with a knife.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Be careful, it is hard to cut through the center of a frozen cake...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Ouch, I learned that the hard way.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Next frost the cakes with a crumb coat. Frost between each layer first, if you are stacking cakes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then frost the top, and finally the sides. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">A crumb coat should be a very thin layer of frosting. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Smooth it out as best you can and then let it dry before frosting the with the final coat. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My little girl turns 4 tomorrow. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">She is into all things pink, purple, princess, ballerina, you get the idea.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">She decided she wanted a flower cake this year.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">But not a cake in the shape of a flower like most 4 year old girls might want. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">She wanted basically a wedding cake. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This what I cam up with.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Luckily she LOVED it!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This was just an extra cake we had in case we ran out of the first one. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We had a good sized party...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My son wanted this for his 7th birthday.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I tried to persuade him to choose something easier, but was unsuccessful. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I used 3 6-inch round cakes for the R2D2 body.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here they are with the crumb coat of cream cheese frosting already on. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM8HYJDE3Y3DZ4uQRLVkdpxAgI0MRGAuKoq75iMUNVjlzhbj6l9BSRIez2zSa6Ssy6LbnYvqbapsP7YH2xku6_ktPtE0lHQ2oc9WL3KZAaSJjpZqEUy2QNn8a7MgvgwjFXKpqQm9t0A9Y/s1600/DSC04189.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM8HYJDE3Y3DZ4uQRLVkdpxAgI0MRGAuKoq75iMUNVjlzhbj6l9BSRIez2zSa6Ssy6LbnYvqbapsP7YH2xku6_ktPtE0lHQ2oc9WL3KZAaSJjpZqEUy2QNn8a7MgvgwjFXKpqQm9t0A9Y/s320/DSC04189.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I covered them with fondant.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">However, I had too much fondant so I smoothed out the front and back and brought the excess fondant to the side and cut it off then sealed the seams.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOvduKphx0dvWmKkY0se9Oss_qRxCk3RUs1LV1DwkuwWEreS3lGusVrDt2jzvbZrrD-eo4KbGYxRjzEh4F66ipG2tvATBmwJEePkxQJ1rsQZn5aFCtADdyvT1ja48zZ0V3USloTrAoCtk/s1600/IMG_0934.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOvduKphx0dvWmKkY0se9Oss_qRxCk3RUs1LV1DwkuwWEreS3lGusVrDt2jzvbZrrD-eo4KbGYxRjzEh4F66ipG2tvATBmwJEePkxQJ1rsQZn5aFCtADdyvT1ja48zZ0V3USloTrAoCtk/s320/IMG_0934.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">I knew the arms would cover up the seams on the sides, so I wasn't worried about them being perfect.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2iKfA5OpmcYgSrpkpTjTMjtEjE1d1Zp-6C7i5sqWgeZtLrjD1dlsSezAcJGfFUfFg5LXC6wKI3nGMPzEOswomVBn6au6tc7_2uoMBTxo6lbexVJQiKscYhCMkw54jOVPJ6Rgqg8GbtCc/s1600/IMG_0936.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2iKfA5OpmcYgSrpkpTjTMjtEjE1d1Zp-6C7i5sqWgeZtLrjD1dlsSezAcJGfFUfFg5LXC6wKI3nGMPzEOswomVBn6au6tc7_2uoMBTxo6lbexVJQiKscYhCMkw54jOVPJ6Rgqg8GbtCc/s320/IMG_0936.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">I used a metal bowl about the same size as my 6-inch cakes to make the dome part for the head. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I used black and blue food coloring to make the grey color. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmr2kSGgT3LB50VHVj5Zstu0-uCsIgfDXL8eHtpq3aqo7tkcbtSnF4Z9A-I9fplot9RnuO09U1OwiWY8oUfm8NiJs0g75Sgiqs743DF_902mEpKXuAklYYvm9uPjVpNcaxsCSusrD8pJI/s1600/IMG_0938.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmr2kSGgT3LB50VHVj5Zstu0-uCsIgfDXL8eHtpq3aqo7tkcbtSnF4Z9A-I9fplot9RnuO09U1OwiWY8oUfm8NiJs0g75Sgiqs743DF_902mEpKXuAklYYvm9uPjVpNcaxsCSusrD8pJI/s320/IMG_0938.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Here are the rice krispy legs. </div><div style="text-align: center;">We made a base the same shape as the legs and body to help support the cake. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I just forgot to take a picture of it. </div><div style="text-align: center;">(Imagine a circle cut out of wood with two small bumps on two sides where the legs attach.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf38uCMBtnJj05BWnTwCvV3SWlFdl5tzE8NmKTqO9FpN9cDZL2J79kGm25p_8ryVFUjzcQH8URbSDRgZv415F0vVaVyw0qcbLNnyYk7mthr_I5E8EINAfyCeRmGr-Tw9MQqj-87QgeyRE/s1600/IMG_0939.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf38uCMBtnJj05BWnTwCvV3SWlFdl5tzE8NmKTqO9FpN9cDZL2J79kGm25p_8ryVFUjzcQH8URbSDRgZv415F0vVaVyw0qcbLNnyYk7mthr_I5E8EINAfyCeRmGr-Tw9MQqj-87QgeyRE/s320/IMG_0939.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Next I colored some fondant red and cut out shapes to sort of match an R2D2 coloring page. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi8AQ70lPfFPpIMpxrZlgXnpFCpRmDo2impRVZ50i_LbjL35jlZRZez-rMC-oPhipY1oZlX83icr3Xq_4_FzBJFuKZnCDKwiazmOcZzK-BuBYiCPAJWX4w8C-I-yDOvrHV-XVdsm7Rhdo/s1600/IMG_0940.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi8AQ70lPfFPpIMpxrZlgXnpFCpRmDo2impRVZ50i_LbjL35jlZRZez-rMC-oPhipY1oZlX83icr3Xq_4_FzBJFuKZnCDKwiazmOcZzK-BuBYiCPAJWX4w8C-I-yDOvrHV-XVdsm7Rhdo/s320/IMG_0940.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div align="center"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Finally, here is the recipe.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2dZvDoBfNuhiHQbsFl0U3nkllnFC1iu3ocabdg4dWFcrFWEomNJKthipkNrYXCdgH8ROKNg_UFKsZTntnRjClcQBe35IpyA1Dni_83LZekToZE9mEp2nJwfri1xmGqv8b_WfSGWHoYws/s1600/DSC03899.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2dZvDoBfNuhiHQbsFl0U3nkllnFC1iu3ocabdg4dWFcrFWEomNJKthipkNrYXCdgH8ROKNg_UFKsZTntnRjClcQBe35IpyA1Dni_83LZekToZE9mEp2nJwfri1xmGqv8b_WfSGWHoYws/s320/DSC03899.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My sister used to have a neighbor who was from the Dominican Republic. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">She taught my sister to make this dish, who then taught me. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">For some perspective, imagine a woman from another country teaching YOU to make something with no measurments, just adding a "little of this, and a dash of that." </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We have done our best to give you mesurements, but you may need to alter the amounts to fit your tastes and needs. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You will need:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 onion</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1-2 stalks of celery</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1-2 cloves, or 1 tsp minced garlic</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/2 - 1 whole bunch of cilantro</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 tsp oregano</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">3 tsp chicken bouilon</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 tsp Adobo seasoning</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 1/2 tsp white vinegar</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 15 oz can black beans </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 15 oz can stewed tomatoes</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 Tbs oil</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2-3 cups rice (depends on how much you want)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2-3 cups water (according to how much rice you used)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">At this point I pour my rice into a rice cooker and then add the onion and tomato mixture from my pan. I cover with the water and set the rice cooker to cook. Easy.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">If you are not using a rice cooker:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">In a heavy bottom pot add your onion and tomato mixutre from above, and the water. Bring your liquid almost to a boil then add the rice and stir. Cover the pot and reduce heat to low. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Check on the rice and give it a stir every 5 minutes or so. If the rice is sticking to the bottom of the pot you can add oil 1 Tbs at a time and stir again. Cook rice for about 20 - 30 minutes. Taste, you can add more water if you like your rice moister. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">It comes from a restaurant called <a href="http://www.oakpitbbqco.com/">Oak Pit BBQ Co</a>, based in Arroyo Grande, CA.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I can't wait to eat there.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">You will have to send a message to Pablo to place your order.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Each bottle costs $7.49, and it's a good sized bottle. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Pablo will help figure out the cost for shipping where ever it needs to be shipped. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMVl_lvLER1Ee_9mj4oE0Q_egcZZXyJHKT7H-j5gfZ6dA_mU1xxJYZHCsqSwX3015YIRFLusJBy9uJguSexYTde0oOcLvoBA7RQBl563to7S9MaLOsBHyeM_fPgKzFAv4UH-Awe76-rh0/s1600/IMG_0216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMVl_lvLER1Ee_9mj4oE0Q_egcZZXyJHKT7H-j5gfZ6dA_mU1xxJYZHCsqSwX3015YIRFLusJBy9uJguSexYTde0oOcLvoBA7RQBl563to7S9MaLOsBHyeM_fPgKzFAv4UH-Awe76-rh0/s320/IMG_0216.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I love tacos. So when a friend introduced me to this recipe I was seriously thrilled. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Everyone we make these for agrees with me on how wonderful they are.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I really can't say enough...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Do you get the picture?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">They are GOOD!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Ok, you start with the meat, seasoning, and marinade.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The best meat is skirt steak. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(We've used a different cut before and the results were not as good.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The marinade:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This Goya Mojo Criollo can be kind of tricky to find. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It will be in the Hispanic food isle of your grocery store, if you are lucky. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You may be able to have your grocer order it for you.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">If it's not there you might have to go to a Hispanic food market.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(Trust me it's worth it.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh686Hcdn6PlZQthruZvcgmlClmNrerQnZ4Utd1VsOypeSjrVm1V2lCKn37Ip0hj9v1ojVUBiDFtL0Mqsvhg1n_PXBjBESEr245pZSvfUTWk_tLD_RgbLJ8Fa8QurDUfRbEjYokRuP95dY/s1600/DSC04171.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh686Hcdn6PlZQthruZvcgmlClmNrerQnZ4Utd1VsOypeSjrVm1V2lCKn37Ip0hj9v1ojVUBiDFtL0Mqsvhg1n_PXBjBESEr245pZSvfUTWk_tLD_RgbLJ8Fa8QurDUfRbEjYokRuP95dY/s320/DSC04171.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> The seasoning, which would actually be the first thing to go on the meat, is Banditos Blend from the <a href="http://www.oakpitbbqco.com/">Oak Pit BBQ Co.</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This stuff is amazing. It would be great on all kinds of bbq'd dishes. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">For info on how to get this seasoning click <a href="http://eatitandsayyum.blogspot.com/2012/02/banditos-blend-seasoning.html">here</a>. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhEhIyrtYdQ28T0xkniVyiKSD0bE3TmaXb-Pq69tNvgC9aeROWpDteIUqD-xIOY1ylQZ3bUo0AwzSX_BZkAl5mUd21XGIu_aQlnWwPhPmaZZVg5loKAEicHj447m40skWvkcR4p_cU-vI/s1600/spice.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhEhIyrtYdQ28T0xkniVyiKSD0bE3TmaXb-Pq69tNvgC9aeROWpDteIUqD-xIOY1ylQZ3bUo0AwzSX_BZkAl5mUd21XGIu_aQlnWwPhPmaZZVg5loKAEicHj447m40skWvkcR4p_cU-vI/s1600/spice.jpg" /></a></div><br />
<div align="center">Ok, so you rub on the seasoning, put the skirt steak in a ziplock bag and pour in the marinade.</div><div align="center">You want the meat to be covered with marinade once the bag is sealed. </div><div align="center">Then stick the bag in the fridge and let sit over night. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAjNviP1YTEmdxRjmkvyIgCvmIy3PDAPVZHmrfAoSldazU9kmkP9eCGO9ZAV0e-UBBQGtwJozsDHmaK5RwzdXVivcenJkP89AWDoxqTQj9HHk-n-UyvPP-Xnsz_B63O_0MLQyvwbz6NWc/s1600/DSC04172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAjNviP1YTEmdxRjmkvyIgCvmIy3PDAPVZHmrfAoSldazU9kmkP9eCGO9ZAV0e-UBBQGtwJozsDHmaK5RwzdXVivcenJkP89AWDoxqTQj9HHk-n-UyvPP-Xnsz_B63O_0MLQyvwbz6NWc/s320/DSC04172.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">About 30 minutes before you want to eat remove the meat from the bag and place it on a pan or platter. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Sprinkle another layer of Banditos Blend seasoning on top.</div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMVl_lvLER1Ee_9mj4oE0Q_egcZZXyJHKT7H-j5gfZ6dA_mU1xxJYZHCsqSwX3015YIRFLusJBy9uJguSexYTde0oOcLvoBA7RQBl563to7S9MaLOsBHyeM_fPgKzFAv4UH-Awe76-rh0/s1600/IMG_0216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMVl_lvLER1Ee_9mj4oE0Q_egcZZXyJHKT7H-j5gfZ6dA_mU1xxJYZHCsqSwX3015YIRFLusJBy9uJguSexYTde0oOcLvoBA7RQBl563to7S9MaLOsBHyeM_fPgKzFAv4UH-Awe76-rh0/s320/IMG_0216.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We served these with black beans and fruit salad. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">If you choose not to order the seasoning mentioned above, you can substitute something else.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Some that we have tried are Pappys, and Grill Mates Cowboy Rub. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">They still tasted great. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Also, the left over steak is great in burritos, or for breakfast with some eggs, the possibilites are pretty much endless. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I'm not that creative. Just a great copy cat.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Anyway, I used <a href="http://www.ourbestbites.com/2008/12/sugar-cookies/">this sugar cookie</a> recipe, from the Our Best Bites blog. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It's the best sugar cookie I've ever had!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And the <a href="http://bakeat350.blogspot.com/2010/01/royal-icing-102-or-201-or-whatever.htm">royal icing</a> from Bake at 350. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Her recipe was easy to follow and SO good! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRCAQFj6lMa39pnwVK9fOJ3PI3B-xvg489_DLIItjoZVNrYgI_T32Q96POsspRDVBGAwMCQaM-4BH1LKrgYIe88iOEOTo0aaARd9fNB8q3iCSzQwN_CFbKHkD-xvQsaAtWaI9eNPMXJk0/s1600/IMG_0818.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRCAQFj6lMa39pnwVK9fOJ3PI3B-xvg489_DLIItjoZVNrYgI_T32Q96POsspRDVBGAwMCQaM-4BH1LKrgYIe88iOEOTo0aaARd9fNB8q3iCSzQwN_CFbKHkD-xvQsaAtWaI9eNPMXJk0/s320/IMG_0818.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1wESWP_WJ6V1GlF2EVlAx6QkKk-kFFRwXYEOobslpmIbqWZeN7iA_9UfclJAcxdYo1BxbJlal2rwg_WBBuDLid8WuhA4apSupVKT8x2CclWfN08D88LczHVSe-9CJwli0iYGMhCIaOIY/s1600/IMG_0819.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1wESWP_WJ6V1GlF2EVlAx6QkKk-kFFRwXYEOobslpmIbqWZeN7iA_9UfclJAcxdYo1BxbJlal2rwg_WBBuDLid8WuhA4apSupVKT8x2CclWfN08D88LczHVSe-9CJwli0iYGMhCIaOIY/s320/IMG_0819.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">To cut out the cookies I just used a knife, to get random shapes, more like a melting puddle would be. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">For decorating I used some stiff butter cream for piping on the arms, bows, ear muffs, buttons, etc. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The eyes and mouths I did with some edible markers. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Way cute, fairly easy, super fun, and delicious!</div>Leiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17462092757085673959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1622536695026582694.post-38304666551214051522012-01-11T08:40:00.001-06:002012-01-12T08:43:55.128-06:00Buck-Eyes<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My sister-in-law hails from the great state of Ohio.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(I've never been there, not really sure if it's great or not.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">However, Ohio does have buck-eyes. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Which were the inspiration for someone to come up with this recipe.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Which made its way to my family about 20 years ago, via my sister-in-law. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I loved making these as a child and now I have my own little girl who loves to help!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Start by crushing up some rice krispies. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> I like to to do it in a ziplock bag. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Less mess.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPvmQyHMdvK3LN67JBxtj_iV3g41NBpuIGb_REwKbh4711-E8BhAagR1PqM3gWYOlIf7Xnw0N0ah8BKjkLAO6APkEt56Hw4BfTZYXw4ixFOfrMa57zio6xzfzIDT1WDDQIXroG47JEYSw/s1600/IMG_0836.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPvmQyHMdvK3LN67JBxtj_iV3g41NBpuIGb_REwKbh4711-E8BhAagR1PqM3gWYOlIf7Xnw0N0ah8BKjkLAO6APkEt56Hw4BfTZYXw4ixFOfrMa57zio6xzfzIDT1WDDQIXroG47JEYSw/s320/IMG_0836.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNOjScfykkn3bp1yzsBpe81ijZQgUB3LWKU06KMZ8aR7yZUocEX-Cm6y36meG9n9LxWaXn8WLrEAPzYzQq_5AljGegy6ChjqJHSsgWDpvFFdj_z9zgUM9PVzS7X7PVPx5cMiwvZ53-0Ck/s1600/IMG_0837.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNOjScfykkn3bp1yzsBpe81ijZQgUB3LWKU06KMZ8aR7yZUocEX-Cm6y36meG9n9LxWaXn8WLrEAPzYzQq_5AljGegy6ChjqJHSsgWDpvFFdj_z9zgUM9PVzS7X7PVPx5cMiwvZ53-0Ck/s320/IMG_0837.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center">Mix the butter and peanut butter with the rice krispies. </div><div align="center">Doesn't have to be fully mixed. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe_VxysP4Koi0ktOYilB76Q9ck9lbryFyjNvLcwEO6hOzHweRK9iHQu-3u-ICAxwCGA0mfUSAqAkKmqJhUPW9deahc-7XsaZQtA34oT6f59wGsJB6wnd4VG08geBpM6vL2oBpBtJASALo/s1600/IMG_0838.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe_VxysP4Koi0ktOYilB76Q9ck9lbryFyjNvLcwEO6hOzHweRK9iHQu-3u-ICAxwCGA0mfUSAqAkKmqJhUPW9deahc-7XsaZQtA34oT6f59wGsJB6wnd4VG08geBpM6vL2oBpBtJASALo/s320/IMG_0838.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Then sift in the powder sugar. </div><div style="text-align: center;">You don't want lumps. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGVPViFy2AWNrTGlk4GyR5lCEEpEciJtVWymrSj0xkLRYW-54gT20Tfm-I0E_HP7jqq9BGjYOZdVj7d87eVuA4oGYOIfs7edT-l92qGbetwFwTY0e0cEyYefh3bUAp8GmovYRQK1CX-Us/s1600/IMG_0839.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGVPViFy2AWNrTGlk4GyR5lCEEpEciJtVWymrSj0xkLRYW-54gT20Tfm-I0E_HP7jqq9BGjYOZdVj7d87eVuA4oGYOIfs7edT-l92qGbetwFwTY0e0cEyYefh3bUAp8GmovYRQK1CX-Us/s320/IMG_0839.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div align="center"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Then roll small bits into balls. </div><div style="text-align: center;">About 1 1/2 Tbs to 2 Tbs each ball. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Depends on how big you want them. </div><div style="text-align: center;">(Smaller balls equals higher chocolate to peanut butter ratio.)</div><div style="text-align: center;">(Wink wink)<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Melt about 12 oz of chocolate in a double boiler. <br />

Really yummy? Yes. <br />
Fun to eat? Yes. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: right;">...Three requirements for getting my kids excited about eating.</div><br />
<br />
(You may know these as Sunshine Toast, or Eggs in a Basket, etc. We call 'em Egyptian One-Eyes.)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div align="center">First, choose a cookie cutter. <br />
(Sorry no picture, but it will be white, like frosting, but not the exact same consistency.)<br />
<br />
Equal parts sour cream and cream cheese. Beat the cream cheese til smooth, add the sour cream. Beat together. Sprinkle in a small amount of powder sugar, start with about tsp. (Depending on how much sour cream and cream cheese you used.) Beat again. Done!<br />
<br />
Serve on <a href="http://eatitandsayyum.blogspot.com/2011/12/crepes.html"><span style="color: blue;">these crepes</span>.</a><br />
<br />
This is not supposed to be real sweet like a frosting. Add a small amount of the powder sugar, mix, then taste it and see if you want more. I'm telling ya though, overly sweet and it will be too much when you add your fruit.Leiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17462092757085673959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1622536695026582694.post-2109929230085845442011-12-02T09:52:00.007-06:002012-02-21T11:45:49.205-06:00Banana Cream Pie<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4-PqbL2IGkQsyiW38jATfcTqWLyj-PqQpH5zLXBYfUfoRTg4Sigg4h9RgjJ2IMz3DBuwtpyZSY61Sslxz5YUTBYbQvk8EFlfjWsJG4iji_2lw10N_LCx2pLuYWs-C-po4iA_OozD_rb4/s1600/IMG_0219.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4-PqbL2IGkQsyiW38jATfcTqWLyj-PqQpH5zLXBYfUfoRTg4Sigg4h9RgjJ2IMz3DBuwtpyZSY61Sslxz5YUTBYbQvk8EFlfjWsJG4iji_2lw10N_LCx2pLuYWs-C-po4iA_OozD_rb4/s320/IMG_0219.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I started by curshing up enough Nilla Wafers to make about 2 cups of crumbs. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(Very scientific, I know)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Add to that 1/4 cup melted butter and mix with a fork, til fully combined.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Press into bottom of pan. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">For the cream</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 cups milk</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 cup heavy whipping cream</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 can sweetened condensed milk</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 tsp vanilla</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/4 cup corn starch</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">4 egg yolks</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">3 bananas</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(You will need 2 more bananas and more heavy whipping cream for the top, later.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Heat the milk, heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla. Bring to a boil.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">While that is heating, whisk the egg yolks and corn starch til smooth. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Gradually spoon some of the hot mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Whisk them together, slowing adding a little more. Once the egg yolks are hot, after you have added roughly 1/2- 1 cup of the milk and cream mixture, whisk the egg yolks into the pot with the remaing cream mixture. Stir constantly.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Cook until very thick. Keep stirring!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Once cooked, pour through a sieve to keep any lumps out of the pie. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Chop 3 bananas and stir into the 'custard.' Pour over the crust and top with some plastic wrap. Place the wrap directly on the custard, so no film forms. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Let the pie set in the fridge for at least 3 hours. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Top with 2 sliced bananas. Sweeten and whip some heavy whipping cream, then pipe around the edges. Any star tip will work to make the swirl. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> Grate chocolate on top. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You should definitely make this, and soon. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">UPDATE: I made this for Christmas with an oreo crust, and it was fantastic!! :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Ingredients</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Dressing:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 Tbs sugar</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 Tbs vinegar (plain white/ distilled)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 Tbs vegetable oil</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Juice from 1 lime (about 1 Tbs)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/4 tsp cumin</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/4 tsp salt</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/4 tsp pepper</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Mix these together and let sit. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">After making dressing, prepare these:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">4 avocados- diced</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2-3 tomatoes- diced</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 cups frozen corn</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 can black beans- drained and rinsed</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 can black eyed peas- drained and rinsed</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 cloves garlic- minced</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Toss allthese ingredients in a medium/ large bowl. Drizzle dressing over top, give it a quick stir to fully incorporate. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Let sit in fridge for a few hours. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then serve with tortilla chips. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This carmel corn recipe is super easy. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You don't need a candy thermometer. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You don't have to know what 'softball' stage is. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">What you do need is:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">a glass (pyrex type) dish/ measuring bowl</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">popped pop corn</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">a brown paper grocery bag</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">and the actual food ingredients...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So, first pop that popcorn. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> Sift the unpopped kernels out, those aren't so fun to bite into.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Your teeth will thank you. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Put the popped corn into the brown grocery bag. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">In the glass bowl (should easily hold 4 cups), add the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">No need to even mix it, yet. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Pop that in the microwave for 1 minute 45 seconds. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Stir. Put back in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Stir. Add baking soda and vanilla, stir to combine. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> It will get a littke foamy and look like this:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8k0WoBkcriBx9r78HBCPuOHoFxUYXlPF0pfl1bEWj97teG78FhJWR37H-DBuMfsWYUGHLhyn-99kXeana0ucM2USuHRiuy3_HVYLj-xZNHy8JWqk_eZxVfP5DV7DzTLvB41Mc4IOS90M/s1600/DSC04122.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8k0WoBkcriBx9r78HBCPuOHoFxUYXlPF0pfl1bEWj97teG78FhJWR37H-DBuMfsWYUGHLhyn-99kXeana0ucM2USuHRiuy3_HVYLj-xZNHy8JWqk_eZxVfP5DV7DzTLvB41Mc4IOS90M/s320/DSC04122.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Now, pour the carmel over the popcorn, in the bag. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Jiggle the popcorn around lightly to help coat it with carmel. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Roll the top of the bag down. Now shake like crazy. Turn the bag all around (while holding it shut) to coat all the popcorn. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Keep the bag rolled, and put the bag in the microwave for about 1 minute and 15 seconds. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Take the bag out and shake it again. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Return it to the microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds again. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Take it out and shake it again. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Grease a cookie sheet and pour the contents of the bag onto the sheet. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Let cool. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Once cooled, you can break it up and eat it!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It's so good. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I loved waffles, and I still do. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My 17 month old son also loves waffles. He will ask for them. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Boy, was he in heaven yesterday when I made these pumkin buttermilk waffles. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Actually, all my kids liked them. Even my daughter who SWORE she wouldn't. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These are good. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I like fast food french fries, just like everyone else, right? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">But, who wants to buy those all the time?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These french fries are super yummy, even better than fast food ones, if you ask me, </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Start by slicing up your potatoes. Do them thin and they wll cook faster. Or, if you like big, thick, fries, cut them thick and they will just have to cook a little longer. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">After you cut them, rinse them with cold water. Then pat them dry. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggbN7PuzoGpwCQ8vdqkmi11i-LQ4yhTHajIG4HvtedaDlUjog7kBRfQRdUq0ozcntLTYktRjhSOc4e3Edk2tGesgp7ohuubrJFrtrmTtaxoSv_FRTAakGSl3WzOY0VGW54NR4UKRdZSqQ/s1600/DSC04063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggbN7PuzoGpwCQ8vdqkmi11i-LQ4yhTHajIG4HvtedaDlUjog7kBRfQRdUq0ozcntLTYktRjhSOc4e3Edk2tGesgp7ohuubrJFrtrmTtaxoSv_FRTAakGSl3WzOY0VGW54NR4UKRdZSqQ/s320/DSC04063.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">While you are cutting your fries, let some oil get HOT in a pan. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So it will be ready when you are.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Once your fries are dried, gently place them in the oil. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> Tip: Throwing potatoes in hot oil splashes the oil, and it burns if it gets on you. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Just so ya know. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRNVG_16lIAo-N0MLxWGrUcjN5hWdFeCMpYoiu290RqhZLzhHbw5_9hkRfuuRty9iAjucyLtV15-AzNV0x1r0vGCgT2Jd1AON5KNgFD3MIhrbyhgEYgswWkuNvy0wD6_Oe-bQUemvPeRQ/s1600/DSC04065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRNVG_16lIAo-N0MLxWGrUcjN5hWdFeCMpYoiu290RqhZLzhHbw5_9hkRfuuRty9iAjucyLtV15-AzNV0x1r0vGCgT2Jd1AON5KNgFD3MIhrbyhgEYgswWkuNvy0wD6_Oe-bQUemvPeRQ/s320/DSC04065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Let them cook for a few minutes. Then remove to some paper towels. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Add more potatoes to the oil and continue cooking, and then removing them to the paper towels. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivmTHAdT3ac1pTtT9yfl0IamMBERjDpRCB0TJTDUlSaqA337BZ5A9PzioVOhVYMqCh17KWI-oNheT21zOTXVT9aMBs6rwB1jLwIqvb2i0zGs9u73098WRSn6GbU1rUZKot5MQ4Y-dj9iA/s1600/DSC04066.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivmTHAdT3ac1pTtT9yfl0IamMBERjDpRCB0TJTDUlSaqA337BZ5A9PzioVOhVYMqCh17KWI-oNheT21zOTXVT9aMBs6rwB1jLwIqvb2i0zGs9u73098WRSn6GbU1rUZKot5MQ4Y-dj9iA/s320/DSC04066.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Your fries should look like this:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Soggy, pale, not super appetizing... Yet. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinbHcm8wftV68qpt6fGXej7ARTEF-XYkvA2nG2OHrleB-dM2EWKLRMuOFoj3K8VXvuD8y9VSZDiROLIFnT2d3wC3h0fbucqTnww8a1E1sd5rDtR9TddEBhvYJRlzeBuqBJ68iND6sqKwA/s1600/DSC04067.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinbHcm8wftV68qpt6fGXej7ARTEF-XYkvA2nG2OHrleB-dM2EWKLRMuOFoj3K8VXvuD8y9VSZDiROLIFnT2d3wC3h0fbucqTnww8a1E1sd5rDtR9TddEBhvYJRlzeBuqBJ68iND6sqKwA/s320/DSC04067.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here's the secret. You want to fry these babies again. Once you have taken all the fries out of the oil, let it heat up again for a minute. Then put the fries back in. They will turn a golden brown pretty quick, and get nice and crispy. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">See how the fry holds its shape now?</div><br />

I used to really not like, at all, pumpkin pie. (GASP!) I know, crazy, right? Well, I finally came around. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">There are so many pumpkin foods out there. I gonna try and bring you a bunch of my favorites before Thanksgiving, and maybe after, because hey, pumpkin shouldn't only be enjoyed before Thanksgiving. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My family grew up eating <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86bleskiver"><span style="background-color: white; color: blue;">aebleskivers</span></a>. I love them, always have. Here is a recipe from allrecipes.com, with some slight modifications. These turned out so light and fluffy, and so delicious.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You start by separating two eggs and beating the whites til they form stiff peaks. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Add all the dry ingredients, except for baking soda, and stir. Then add some butter, egg yolks, buttermilk and soda -mixed, and beat til smooth. Last, fold in the egg whites. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNaTeJdQraYBWamTO8IARmBbRWSRdWxxFT3fW9mrVHsRkDx6wYFn6XgRKjRxw00gT2z8oQmyZ2EH7XOWh_DAmIY2zgvX9K5EyJYCeU_623lMNRbF433q7jZd58o8AW22MmTOm46736cNQ/s1600/DSC04032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNaTeJdQraYBWamTO8IARmBbRWSRdWxxFT3fW9mrVHsRkDx6wYFn6XgRKjRxw00gT2z8oQmyZ2EH7XOWh_DAmIY2zgvX9K5EyJYCeU_623lMNRbF433q7jZd58o8AW22MmTOm46736cNQ/s320/DSC04032.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> Now, to cook aebleskivers, you need an aebliskiver pan. Click <a href="https://encrypted.google.com/#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&source=hp&q=aebleskiver+pan&pbx=1&oq=aebl&aq=2&aqi=g-e2g2&aql=1&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=0l0l2l356l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0ll0l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=2f2dfaff211cf74b&biw=1600&bih=754"><span style="color: blue;">here</span></a> to find one. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Heat your pan over medium heat until it is hot. When hot, add a little bit of butter to each to 'hole' in the pan. (About 1/4 to 1/2 tsp- I don't actually measure)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGZX09cmT_S93iBvh0KO0R3MAFuq-HtFNAU8oOm-3dKG4QJVrilVBb-BUgRrPID5Im0NCCnsiarjjis-53TpO1OWj0Qwk9g_upFaOdv-CcX_46Aq2IU7sktORnXqmH_NNnmfVjvIRbtMM/s1600/DSC04037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGZX09cmT_S93iBvh0KO0R3MAFuq-HtFNAU8oOm-3dKG4QJVrilVBb-BUgRrPID5Im0NCCnsiarjjis-53TpO1OWj0Qwk9g_upFaOdv-CcX_46Aq2IU7sktORnXqmH_NNnmfVjvIRbtMM/s320/DSC04037.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div align="center">Next fill each hole with the batter. You want to fill it just below or even with the top of the 'hole.' It will grow as it cooks. </div><div align="center"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIc72Whltzrj1Gbomk_HETqjM0ZeENXKwFZMV80E5_1QeafY3YUhV2faDP7UqW1rl-GMyFOjYmhsSwv12U2eWVdCUZaSsmRDcihNYNOfe61B40dvNGjlPy25nRRrJfSwdSrr1VVL6GT-k/s1600/DSC04038.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIc72Whltzrj1Gbomk_HETqjM0ZeENXKwFZMV80E5_1QeafY3YUhV2faDP7UqW1rl-GMyFOjYmhsSwv12U2eWVdCUZaSsmRDcihNYNOfe61B40dvNGjlPy25nRRrJfSwdSrr1VVL6GT-k/s320/DSC04038.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> After about a minute, plus or minus some seconds, you will turn the aebleskiver. I use a metal skewer, a tooth pick would work. Just poke it down the side of an aebleskiver, trying not to get it in the raw batter, then hook it in and turn it. It should now look like this. The aebleskiver should be a nice golden brown. (You may need to turn down the heat now, I find half way between medium and low works well.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidmaEKKMhEY06d737RR5qBs-AgRETfhgcMXbTIvjm1KAL_rREIs9L2-9VkdZ5sYV55VI12q9AjFcgOlx6bqZV0knG4siJbw4yzuLDbsup8gtqyMbEg-po-hZbkrxkDAIpKNYU3QZ6FQ9M/s1600/DSC04039.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidmaEKKMhEY06d737RR5qBs-AgRETfhgcMXbTIvjm1KAL_rREIs9L2-9VkdZ5sYV55VI12q9AjFcgOlx6bqZV0knG4siJbw4yzuLDbsup8gtqyMbEg-po-hZbkrxkDAIpKNYU3QZ6FQ9M/s320/DSC04039.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<div align="center">You will find that some spots of the pan cook faster than others. So just start new aebleskivers as you go. See here, some are done, some are one turn into the process, and some are just starting. You want to cook these until the center is cooked through. I stick my skewer into the center to see if it comes out clean, to test for doneness. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif8GrjXs-yRhfYsVNpieZupgbp0yjt38YbHT9yMOxKzIZgmaddJcgVerIFevztWqFs6tCnhoEWoDpNJBuo935xbTp15O1iT64hBWXFxhnpi-1C1oNTE5y9wxMALsy5ub5wcQ1vcb9Pl4g/s1600/DSC04048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif8GrjXs-yRhfYsVNpieZupgbp0yjt38YbHT9yMOxKzIZgmaddJcgVerIFevztWqFs6tCnhoEWoDpNJBuo935xbTp15O1iT64hBWXFxhnpi-1C1oNTE5y9wxMALsy5ub5wcQ1vcb9Pl4g/s320/DSC04048.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Obviously the best part about these is eating them. There are several ways to eat them. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You can drizzle syrup on them.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You can open them up and spoon jam or jelly into the inside. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Dip them in buttermilk syrup, yum. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Or, the way my family always ate them, dip them in butter then sugar. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We put a slice of butter on our plate, add some sugar next to that. The hot aebleskiver melts the butter and the sugar sticks to that and it is so good. </div><br />

One of my college roomies taught me this one, and I'm so glad she did! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It's super easy. Mix your flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix that thoroughly. Scrape into a greased 8x8 pan. It will look like this.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qFuxmA1Nj5o/TqS5lQ0QS3I/AAAAAAAAA54/8fCgfTco5CY/s1600/IMG_0654.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qFuxmA1Nj5o/TqS5lQ0QS3I/AAAAAAAAA54/8fCgfTco5CY/s320/IMG_0654.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">In a small mixing bowl (or pyrex measuring cup) combine some brown sugar and more cocoa. Sprinkle that over top of the' brownie' batter, like so...</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ka48DfR8b5I/TqS54ImlkJI/AAAAAAAAA6A/NhWR6_lNalc/s1600/IMG_0655.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ka48DfR8b5I/TqS54ImlkJI/AAAAAAAAA6A/NhWR6_lNalc/s320/IMG_0655.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then pour some hot water over the top of that...</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwDw3-XUooOQFQyjsMlqEGxEIDEDhQ2QpGE9H3D1CIsPacea0q2pm3qcIKcmxPBedrzyObtYaVRADh3j7oQzUiNzpR1d52ndikzfoNDATNa_6QMdUYVKjWjpaEen17Rc7a7xA0i97bm_A/s1600/IMG_0656.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwDw3-XUooOQFQyjsMlqEGxEIDEDhQ2QpGE9H3D1CIsPacea0q2pm3qcIKcmxPBedrzyObtYaVRADh3j7oQzUiNzpR1d52ndikzfoNDATNa_6QMdUYVKjWjpaEen17Rc7a7xA0i97bm_A/s320/IMG_0656.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The water will cover everything, and mix in with the brown sugar and cocoa combo. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8JvTIUk-99cmimDMOMUuQTojtdRi1D0xFUUzXYn0euhd8dF2bmvk8ha4Gc4oU8polOfN4T3JkkHS7MPgDRINmw7DjklRByiGqyn4FU-C6n3qbO6CM05RanMJ1-8vVRK4epNY6gZo-3vM/s1600/IMG_0657.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8JvTIUk-99cmimDMOMUuQTojtdRi1D0xFUUzXYn0euhd8dF2bmvk8ha4Gc4oU8polOfN4T3JkkHS7MPgDRINmw7DjklRByiGqyn4FU-C6n3qbO6CM05RanMJ1-8vVRK4epNY6gZo-3vM/s320/IMG_0657.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then stick it in the oven for 35-45 minutes. Until the 'floating' brownie on top is set. If you jiggle the pan the brownie won't move around in the middle. Then it's done. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Scoop some vanilla ice cream into a bowl. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(We used homemade ice cream tonight, and it was devine.)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then spoon some brownie over top of the ice cream. You will find a secret hot fudge under all that brownie goodness, make sure you get some extra of that on your ice cream. Yummy! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Not that it will be difficult, but you want to eat this before the ice cream melts from the yummy hot pudding/ sauce.
